Animal Lovers Can Take A Walk In The Park For A Good Cause

O‘ahu’s largest animal welfare organization, Ha- waiian Humane Society, is gearing up for its annual fundraising event and cele- bration, PetWalk, and West O‘ahu residents are wel- come to get involved.

It all comes to a close on Oct. 29 at the in-person PetWalk that takes place at Kapi‘olani Regional Park. From 8 a.m. to noon, pets and people can expect cos- tume contests, vendors and

The funds raised will go
directly toward helping the over 20,000 local animals that seek Hawaiian Humane Society’s services each year. For example, $25 provides a week of food for an animal in the nonprofit’s care, $50 covers the cost of veterinary exams for two animals and $100 helps the organization microchip 12 animals.
