   T his year, the Hawai‘i state Legislature pro- vided much needed financial support for our most vulnerable families, made significant progress in obli- gating resources for Native Hawaiians, took bigger steps in addressing affordable hous- ing and, most importantly for my area, supported a project I have been fighting for ever since first being elected — allocating over a third of a billion dollars ($355 million) for a brand new, state-of-the- art high school for the ‘Ewa Beach and East Kapolei areas. This is a massive win for our
