 Paint Pā‘ina Hosts Weekly Artistic Events In West O‘ahu

utor and honed her interest in wine en route to becoming a sommelier. With the paint and wine theme emerging as a natural fit, the team launched Paint Pāʻina six years ago, fittingly with the first event at a Maryknoll High School reunion.
  Embodying the popular surfing phrase “Chance ‘em,” longtime friends and enthu- siastic entrepreneurs Alicia Malia Esche and Cheryl-Lynn Mattos are motivated by the joy of doing something they love, and sharing that passion with others.
“Our motivation is hav- ing fun with people doing something we love,” explains the Paint Pāʻina team. “Our friendship, bringing our tal- ents together, trusting each other and leaning on each oth- er has helped build our busi- ness.”
The duo launched Paint Pāʻina in 2016 as a mobile company specializing in customized painting parties available for engagements across the island. Esche and Mattos are eager to “bring the pāʻina to you and paint wher- ever on O‘ahu that may be! We love to do private parties or team building events.”

Participants of all ages are encouraged to engage with Paint Pāʻina, including young children who require a partici- pating adult. The Paint Pāʻina gallery is filled with original artwork by Esche; guests who are first to sign up for an event may choose a painting from the gallery. The gallery also helps private party par- ticipants select their painting, which may align with a theme or may simply catch their eye.
