Donate To ‘Marathon Of Quarters’ Fundraiser Till Dec. 31
‘Ewa Beach-based non- profit Child & Family Ser- vice launched a grassroots initiative — titled Marathon of Quarters — on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 30). It runs through Dec. 31.
“We are so grateful for the brilliance of our volunteer leaders of the CFS Guild spearheading the Marathon of Quarters. Two things make this extra meaningful: this is a 100% volunteer-driven fundraising activity and ev- ery quarter raised stays right here in Hawai‘i, advancing our mission of strengthening Hawai‘i families,” states pres- ident and CEO Karen Tan.
Taking place in the virtual sphere, the fundraiser hopes to garner enough money to cover the length of a mar- athon (26.2 miles) in quar- ters, equivalent to $434,563. Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit’s mission, which impacts nearly 60,000 peo- ple per year, of making local ‘ohana stronger.
“We’re all about family, and the MOQ campaign will help CFS continue to be a source of hope for children and families in the commu- nity.”
“We’re truly excited to kick off this campaign. We hope the public will join us in this special chance to help one another, especially with the holiday season drawing near,” states CFS Guild chair Shelley Toy.
