Maj. Troy Trimmer has been appointed divisional commander of The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division. He will oversee operations in Hawai‘i, Guam, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia. The division offers affordable senior housing, at-risk youth services, emergency disaster service and more.
Nicole Fuertes is director of marketing at The LineUp at Wai Kai. She brings 20 years of communications and marketing experience to her role and most recently served as marketing and communications director at Pacific Telecommunications Council. She had also been vice president at CommPac, Hawai‘i’s leading integrated communications and marketing agency.
Edwin Torres has been promoted to complex general manager for Outrigger Waikīkī Beachcomber Hotel and ‘OHANA Waikīkī East by Outrigger. He will oversee daily operations, including guest relations, front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, revenue management, expense management and team-building for Outrigger Waikīkī Beachcomber and ‘OHANA Waikīkī East.

Maj. Anie Trimmer has been appointed divisional director of women’s ministries for The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands Division, which includes Hawai‘i, Guam, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Federated States of Micronesia. She previously held the same role for The Salvation Army Intermountain Division in Colorado.
Atsushi Ganaha is chef de cuisine at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikīkī Beach Resort’s Bali Oceanfront restaurant. He has more than 25 years of culinary leadership experience and was previously executive chef at the Michelin-starred yakitori restaurant Torien in New York City. He will oversee kitchen operations at Bali Oceanfront and revamp the menu.
Cathy Lee Chong joins Chaminade University as vice president of communications strategy. She will be the liaison between the university and the media. Chong has more than 28 years of experience in the education field and was recently director of creative services and marketing at Hawai‘i Pacific University, and director of communications at ‘Iolani School.
