Dear Darah,
No one likes car issues and I was facing several — tires, transmission and inspection! A friend referred me to C&J Tires in Kāne‘ohe to replace several of the worn tires. Being from Kailua, I wasn’t familiar with them, but they had my tires replaced in no time and at half the price. I was also experiencing engine issues, which I thought was my transmission. C&J again assisted me and personally referred me to Willy’s Trans- mission down the street. I had another excellent encounter there, where they diagnosed an issue that was very minor.
next door to Kaneohe Au- tocare. Within no time, the gracious receptionist had my car inspected and I was on my way and very thankful. The exceptional “car kindness” that I received from these merchants will not be forgot- ten. Many thanks!

Dear Lindsey,
Hawai‘i is definitely a “driving state” and we de- pend on our cars so much, as well as put trust in the people who take care of them. Owner of Kaneohe Autocare Ricky Leones says, “Thank you for your kind words and support of our family-owned business. We always try to support our referrals with anything they may need. Please don’t hesitate to call us with any of your car needs.”

Also, to the lab techs for their visit every six hours to do a difficult job with such care and understanding; to the OR staff during a very brief stay; to the radiology group who were so cheerful and friend- ly during my numerous vis- its; and to the janitorial staff whose rather noisy cart did wake me up on occasion (even though I was grateful that the noise meant that I was still alive and my hearing intact), thank you.
Please know that I appreci- ate all that was done for me. May you find peace and com- fort for all you do.
Sincerely, Misae Hironaka Enchanted Lake
