P. 7

 Dear Darah,
First of all, I wanted to thank you for having your column with heartwarming stories and feel-good life occurrences. You make reading MidWeek a joy. I wanted to thank a very kind and humble man, Sergio, who helped me out of a tight situation when I couldn’t get my car out of a parking space.
and proceeded to polish out the scratch and paint I had on the side of the car. His concern for the mirror that he couldn’t get back in re- ally also touched my heart. He didn’t have to help me at all but did so many extra thoughtful things and used his precious time to help. He said he helped because he wants to be kind to peo- ple and there is not enough kindness in the world. What a wonderful individual.
Dear Susan,
Thank you for shar- ing what started as a nerve-wracking experience into a story of compassion and understanding. We need more Sergio’s in our world! Mahalo nui, Ser- gio, for using your skills and creating a situation of positivity and showing kindness.
Dear Darah,
There are no words to ex- press our appreciation to have had two wonderful Samari- tans help capture our Shiba Inu on Super Bowl Sunday. Our dog inadvertently es- caped while we were doing work in the house. He ran down Moanalua Road be-
tween traffic and crossed over to Pali Momi.

I ended up doing the “Aus- tin Powers” back and forth in a tight place, losing my side view mirror and scrap- ing the side of my car. Ser- gio was so kind and nice to get my car out of the space I had blocked myself into
Thank you, Sergio. May life continue to bless you richly for all you do for oth- ers.

Ian, who was waiting at the bus stop fronting Our Savior Lutheran Church/School, tried to catch him but my dog decided to run across Moanalua Road when he saw my husband.
We were so lucky that Ranger (Power Ranger, as he called himself) stopped his white Honda and grabbed him. Had it not been for him, I refuse to imagine where my dog could have run off to, or (that he might have been) hit by a car. Also, we want to apologize to the woman who stopped her car so my hus- band could cross over.
Dear Skedeleski ‘ohana,
