Robert Yu joins the board of the Hawai‘i Authority for Rapid Transportation. He was appointed by the Honolulu City Council. Yu is president and general manager of O‘ahu Transit Services Inc., the nonprofit that manages TheBus and Handi-Van. He was HART’s chief financial officer from 2017 to 2018 and a non-voting legislative appointee board member since June 2022.
Katalin Szilagyi is the new manager of Bali Oceanfront at Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikīkī Beach Resort. She will oversee operations of the resort’s signature restaurant and the Lagoon Lānai. Szilagyi has more than 10 years of experience in the food and beverage and hospitality industries, most recently as the manager of Merriman’s Honolulu.
Scott Whiting is senior vice president, chief population health officer and Queen’s Development Corp. president at The Queen’s Health System. He brings finance and operations expertise to the role, having worked in the insurance, hospital, biotech, investment and health care consulting industries. He was previously market president at MDX Hawai‘i.

Rebecca Gibron has been named president and CEO of the board of directors of Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawai‘i, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky — the organization’s largest affiliate in the nation. She had been acting CEO since November 2021. She was also previously chief operating officer, chief administrative officer and director of finance for the organization.
Joe Ibarra is vice president of Resorttrust Hawai‘i, parent company of The Kāhala Hotel & Resort. He will maintain his role as general manager of The Kāhala. Ibarra has more than two decades of hospitality experience in management positions. He is on the boards of Hawai‘i Lodging and Tourism Association, O‘ahu Visitors Bureau and Skal International.
Anna Hu is executive vice president and chief credit officer for Central Pacific Bank’s executive committee, which guides the company’s strategy and makes key operational decisions. Hu is responsible for the strategic direction and oversight of the bank’s credit risk and loan portfolios. She has 30 years of professional financial experience, including more than 13 years with CPB.
