Dr. Sione Tafuna
Darold Imanaka has joined Finance Insurance Ltd. as an agent. Imanaka, who previously worked at Atlas Insurance, has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience. He specializes in personal, commercial and life insurance lines. Imanaka has worked with major industry sectors, including labor unions. He is also a former girls basketball coach at Kamehameha Schools.
Louise Ing has been appointed as Child & Family Services’ newest chair for its board of directors. In 1992, Ing, who is a partner at the Dentons law firm, originally served as the first female chair for CFS and brings a wealth of experience to her role. One of her goals as board chair is to help the nonprofit expand its reach in the community and bring diverse skill sets to the table.
Dr. Sione Tafuna is a behavioral health specialist at Wahiawā Center for Community Health. Tafuna’s experience includes service at Tripler Army Medical Center in the behavioral health unit, and at Wasatch Mental Health Facility in Utah. He also was part of the treatment team at Hawai‘i State Hospital as well as the state Department of Public Safety, where he managed the acute mental health unit.

Dr. Siuling Kwan
Jennifer Lieu has been named Blue Planet Foundation’s managing director of programs. In this role, Lieu will help the organization’s strategic vision, provide project management, and oversee the clean mobility and youth advocacy teams. She also will play a key leadership role in driving progress on the nonprofit’s goal of 50% carbon emission reduction by 2030.
Kainoa Daines has been promoted to senior director of brand within Hawai‘i Visitors and Convention Bureau’s marketing department. He previously was director of culture and product development. In his new position, Daines is responsible for the design, coordination and management of internal and external programs across all departments and with HVCB members, agencies and partners.
Dr. Siuling Kwan is now part of Adventist Health Castle’s provider team. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with an interest in preventative care, chronic disease management, lifestyle education and women’s health support. Kwan graduated from Northwestern University in Chicago and completed her internship and residency in family medicine from Stony Brook University in New York.
