   Ryan Lagup, an ‘Aiea resident, has received two nomi- nations for this year’s Josie Music Awards for Rising Star of the Year and Al- bum of the Year. They are for his compilation, Beat Shop, which was released in March, selling 30,000 cop- ies worldwide. The first sin- gle, Never Did, debuted on the iTunes Top 100 singles chart at No. 3. Promoting the album during the pandemic was a struggle and all the marketing took place online, Lagup reports. He partic- ipated in this year’s Make Music Day Hawai‘i on June 21. She joined the firm in 2017 and is the project ar- chitect for several adaptive reuse projects, including the Aviation Learning Center on Ford Island. She is a Virginia Tech alumna, and she holds a bachelor’s of architecture with a green engineering minor ...
