Haunted Production Returns To Honolulu

     About 35 actors were cast in KOA Theater’s haunted production, Skeleton Key Hawai‘i. This year’s theme, Terror Planet, transports visitors to a seemingly quiet town where strange things are happening.

t’s officially spooky season at Honolulu’s KOA Theater with the return of its annual walk-through haunted production, Skeleton
Key Hawai‘i.
This year’s theme is Terror Planet. It’s set in
the quiet village of Society Falls, where neigh- bors are worried about strange, hovering lights at night. What’s worse: Black helicopters are appearing and disappearing and weird guys in black suits are walking around town.
The production runs through Halloween.
The attention to detail and professional-level set design, costumes, props, lighting and acting make Skeleton Key a standout.
About 35 actors were cast for Terror Plan- et earlier this year, and once KOA Theater wrapped production on its final show of the sea- son, crews knocked down the walls and buildup of Skeleton Key began from scratch.
“We have a mix of returning haunt actors and new people who we find at open audi- tions,” says theater owner Kevin Keaveney. “What’s really nice is some of our haunt ac- tors have been with us all five years. We have
