      New Bank Opens This Spring
Hawai‘i State Federal Credit Union recently opened its first in-store branch at Safeway Kapahulu. The cred- it union will open three addi- tional branches inside Safe- way stores throughout the state this year, including one in Safeway Hawai‘i Kai.
“The opening of our first Safeway branch is a signif- icant step for Hawai‘i State FCU as we look to expand our presence across O‘ahu and Maui to provide more convenient options to bank with us,” states president and CEO Andrew Rosen. “All of our new Safeway branches will feature an open-concept layout incorpo- rating our innovative self-ser- vice technology.
“Our goal is to offer choice of flexibility with easy-to- use self-service options for account access as well as knowledgeable branch staff to recommend the right products to help reach your financial goals.”
The Kapahulu branch currently features two In- teractive Teller Machines (ITMs), which combines the traditional functionality of a standard ATM while giving the customer the option to independently complete ma- jority of the transactions that would typically be handled by a teller.
