acred Hearts Academy has always empowered its students to be active in the community.
Last October, as part of the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month campaign, stu- dents teamed up with the Sacred Hearts parent board to raise funds for Susan G. Komen Hawai‘i in support of research and awareness.
Working with the Lancer Locker team, a student-and-parent-run logo shop, a lim- ited edition “Lancer Love” T-shirt was designed and sold to families, friends and alumni with all proceeds being donated to the Susan G. Komen Hawai‘i Foundation. As an all-girls school, Sacred Hearts Acad- emy empowers students to be leaders and realize that their efforts make a difference.
“We believe girls who inspire are girls who can make a change,” says Sacred Hearts Academy president Scott Schroed- er. “Their efforts and drive to bring aware- ness to a disease that affects us all reiter- ated our school’s mission, and we couldn’t
