Community Members Clean Up East O‘ahu Neighborhoods
Hundreds of volunteers took part in Sustainable Coastlines Hawai‘i’s Town Cleanups in Kaimukī, Ala Wai and Magic Island on June 26, helping to remove the debris before it gets out into the Pacific Ocean. At the end of the day, volunteers picked up 2,008 cigarette butts, collected 42 pounds of recyclable cans and bottles, and removed more than 5,000 pounds of trash.
