 Wahiawā Lions Club Will Collect School Supplies July 16, 23
 Could your child or grandchild write without a pencil or pen? Or color without crayons or paints? That is the situation facing many Wahiawā children go- ing back to school this year without needed supplies.
As an example, because nearly all the children at- tending one Wahiawā el- ementary school were on free or reduced lunch, the school now provides free lunches to all students. This, coupled with a diffi- cult employment situation, leads to fears that many more Wahiawā area chil- dren will go back to public school this year without the necessary materials, the club emphasizes.

 That is why the Wahiawā Lions Club will hold its 20th annual school supplies collection from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on two Saturdays, July 16 and July 23, at the Wahiawā Town Center near Longs and at Tamura’s Market to benefit needy children attending Wahiawā schools.
