Following a hiatus due to the pandemic, Walk with a Doc O‘ahu is back in full swing at Patsy T. Mink Cen- tral O‘ahu Regional Park, lo- cated at 94-801 Kamehame- ha Hwy. in Waipi‘o, from 8 to 9 a.m. Saturdays.
It’s also low impact, which means it’s easier on the joints than running and is a safe form of working out, with a doctor’s OK, for people with certain medical conditions. In addition, re- search has shown that a per- son could gain two hours of life for each hour of regular exercise. This program was started in Columbus, Ohio in April 2005 by Dr. David Sabgir and has now expand- ed throughout the world. Participants don’t need any fancy gear and there are no special rules. Just put on comfortable shoes and walk.

Central O‘ahu Residents Can Walk With A Doc On Saturdays
Residents of all ages and fitness levels are invited to join Dr. Theresa Wee for a healthy stroll around the park’s grounds, during which she will share a new health tip as well as fruit refreshments, and welcome questions along the route.
Attendees can walk at their own pace, and should meet at the tennis courts, wheretherewillbeabanner.
