Mothers Day Brunch At Waimea

Something’s cooking for Mother’s Day at Waimea Valley.

The park will offer a special brunch buffet menu May 12 with one sitting from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday in its Pikake Pavilion. While dining, families can listen to “the wild call of the proud peacocks” as they watch hula by kumu hula Candy Pollack and Halau Na Wahine O Ka Hula Mai Ka Pu’uwai.

Tickets cost $38 for adults and $19 for children ages 4 to 12. For reservations, call 638-7766; price includes park admission.

On the menu, created by Thomas Naylor, are stations for eggs and omelets, pancakes and whole Tri-Tip. Other choices are Fresh Catch and Rice, Kalua Pork Hash, Kale Caesar Salad, Green Papaya Salad, Veggie Quinoa Salad, fruit platter, new potatoes, bacon, Portuguese sausage and assorted desserts and pastries.
