Girl’s Day Fishing Derby
Hoomauluhia Botanical Garden, Kaneohe, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., call for cost. Celebrate Girl’s Day, a time for families to give good wishes for health, happiness and future success of girls. Makai, Towards the Sea
Gallery on the Pali at the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, runs through March 28, weekdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursdays until 8 p.m., weekends 2-6 p.m., free admission. Boating Skills and Seamanship
Kalaheo High School, Mondays and Wednesdays through April 10, 6-8 p.m., $45 for book and materials + $10 registration fee. The Coast Guard Auxiliary holds its Boating Skills and Seamanship course. Participants learn about handling your boat, navigation, equipment and safety. (254-7955)
