Mall Adds Clothing, Solar And Gift Shops

Three new stores offering everything from girls’ accessories to solar panels opened recently in Kahala Mall.

Joining the more than 100 stores, restaurants and vendors who currently populate the mall are Belle, SolarCity and Brookstone.

Belle – a girls and juniors-oriented boutique that celebrated its grand opening Oct. 26 – stands out against its competition, according to Hawaii Kai resident and owner Tasha Yagi.

“We believe that we’re the first store in Hawaii to provide reasonably priced, contemporary clothes for girls and juniors,” Yagi said.

SolarCity’s new customer service kiosk hopes to capitalize on the company’s status as the first full-service solar provider in the state.

Jon Yoshimura, director of policy and electricity markets for the company, emphasized that it’s eager “to help customers evaluate and serve their clean energy needs” from their new kiosk.

Brookstone, a branch of the national chain of lifestyle and gift stores, opened Oct. 4 at the mall and is one of more than 300 Brookstone stores throughout the United States.
