Makakilo/Kapolei Mustang All-Stars capture state title, head for PONY Western Zone Championships with support (hopefully) from community

Makakilo Kapolei Youth Baseball League (MKYBL) is a “Protect Our Nation’s Youth” (PONY) sanctioned league in Kapolei that serves the Makakilo and Kapolei community. Very recently, our Mustang level (9-10-year-olds) team won their Oahu sectional tournament. Because of that win, they were able to travel to Maui to compete in the state tournament.

They continued their success to capture the state title at the Mustang level. In the league’s history, this team is the first to ever do that. As such, the team will traveling from July 21 to July 28 to compete and represent Makakilo-Kapolei as well as the entire state in the PONY Western Zone Championships in Los Alamitos, Calif.

The members of the MKYBL Mustang All-Stars humbly ask for your support to pursue their dream and opportunity of competing against the finest players and teams in the West as well as the country. As you may know, travel is very costly. Money would help offset travel and accommodation costs for each player. Any donations are truly appreciated and will help tremendously.
