Lions’ eyeglasses drive a success in Windward

Dear Editor,

Thank you for the very nice article publicizing our Jan. 28 ‘Lions in Sight’ eyeglasses collection at the Longs drugstores in Kaneohe and Kailua. It really made a difference, and we had a great turnout.

We collected several hundred used eyeglasses from people in the community eager to help.

Without the article in MidWeek‘s Windward Islander, we would not be nearly as successful.

The Lions put these glasses to great use helping to improve the eyesight of people around the world. Thank you again from the Windward Lions clubs!
