Legends of Oz: Dorothy’s Return

No matter what people tell you or what happens to you, keep pushing, believing in yourself, and doing it the “right” way, and you can overcome any obstacle.

Without giving away the ending, what was one of your favorite scenes?

My favorite scene was when the old tree gave himself up to be used as a boat to help Dorothy and her friends.

All the other trees wouldn’t dare, but he took one for the team for the good of others.

I thought that was really cute.

On a scale of one to four stars, what would you rate this film?

I was say maybe ★★★.

It had a lot of competition being that the last animated musical I saw was Frozen, and what can really top that?

What did you think of the cinematography?

It was animated, but the computer graphics were great. I didn’t see the 3D version, but everything almost looked real!

Was the message/theme clear?

Yes, definitely. I think there were a couple of great messages in the movie, the two I said above, and it had another message of good always beats evil.

Did it remind you of any other works of film?

This movie reminded me of Frozen because both are animated, both are musicals, and both have awesome lessons.

Who would you recommend this movie to?

I would probably recommend this to anyone who saw the original.

A couple of times they talked about things that happened in the past and I had to ask my dad what they were talking about.

But overall it wasn’t too bad, not having seen the original.

Just make sure you bring someone that has.

Did any of the actors stand out?

There were a lot of great actors doing the voices, so it would be way to hard to choose one.

I do think it was really interesting how they act just by using their voices and can control or change it to match the character animations.

I would love to get a chance at playing an animated role like this.

Did you identify with any of the characters?

The owl because I love candy and there is no way would I be able to walk through a candy town and NOT eat candy!

Did the soundtrack contribute significantly to the film?

Yes, being a musical, the soundtrack definitely contributed to the film.

And for me personally, I really enjoy animated musicals.

Would you buy this movie when it comes out on DVD?

Yes, it would be a good “buy it on DVD” type of movie.

I could see my sisters letting it play and singing along to it.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

Ohhh, popcorn mixed with a bag of kakimochi and topped with extra butter.

It’s a must!

On a different note, what’s new with you?

I think I will be going to L.A. this summer when school lets out.
