Fairy tales get all mixed up in Leeward Theatre’s production of Clockwork, which is directed by theater professor Betty Burdick.

Written by theater manager Kemuel DeMoville, Clockwork blends together famous fairy tales such as Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella for one hilarious show.

DeMoville wrote Clockwork while he was an MFA candidate at UH Manoa in 2009, and the production finally will make its debut on the West side.

Fairy tales run amok when the magical clock breaks. Traditional endings are nowhere in sight, and chase scenes abound through forests, the clock tower and even out in the audience. In the end, thanks to a giant dragon, things get back on track.

Adults and keiki should take delight in this fast-paced French farce-style production.

Clockwork plays at 7 p.m. Nov. 7-8 and 14-15, and at 4 p.m. Nov. 9 and 16.

Tickets cost $25 general admission, and $20 for military, seniors, UH students, faculty and staff; Leeward CC students and ages 18 and under pay $15.

To make reservations, visit lcctheatre.hawaii.edu or call 455-0380. The box office will open one hour before each show.
