Learn Ocean Safety, Have Fun

Children ages 2 to 18 are invited to have a great day at the beach this Sunday, while learning about ocean safety and conservation.

Offered by nonprofit Na Kama Kai, the clinics at Ewa Beach Park each will last 90 minutes, allowing the keiki to learn about ocean safety and conservation, but also have the opportunity to try stand-up paddling, ride a canoe and more.

Participation is free, and the sessions run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Advanced registration is required to eric@ewabeachcbdo.org.

Requirements include the name and age of each child, parents’ name(s), contact emails and phone numbers, as well as a preferred clinic time. Clinics start at 9, 10 and 11 a.m., as well as 1 and 2 p.m.

Volunteers also are needed for the event, and those interested can visit ewabeachcbdo.org for more information.
