Learn Basic Culinary Skills At KEY

Another round of culinary classes begins next week at KEY Project for students 18 and older seeking basic kitchen and baking skills.

Chefs Ken Weir and Richard Wagner will lead them in Kipuka Cafe’s “A Culinary Experience” Nov. 10-Dec. 18 at 47-200 Waihee Road in Kahaluu.

The manager of KEY’s certified commercial kitchen, Weir will teach An Introduction to Fundamental Kitchen Skills, and Wagner will teach An Introduction to Fundamental Baking Skills. Both cover best practices in food safety and sanitation, and offer employability skills, experience, and a certificate of completion. Fee is $50 for one, $75 for both courses.
