Families from all over the island flew over to Ewa Elementary School June 23 for the Ewa Bird Show. The guests of honor included pigeons, chickens, canaries and finches — all competing to be the best. Categories ranged from “grand champion” to “ugliest pigeon.”

The event also included keiki activities and food and craft vendors. The next Ewa Bird Show is scheduled for Nov. 24. For more information, visit ewabirdshow.org.
