Kapolei At Top Of Robotics Game

Kapolei High School’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) robotics team received two new Dell laptops earlier this month, thanks to a donation from Territorial Savings Bank.

Since 2008, the team has been competing in the FRC program as team 2445, affectionately self-named RoboKAP.

The laptops will come in handy as the students compete in the 2015 Hawaii Regional FRC tournament March 27-28 at UH’s Stan Sheriff Center.

Their mission is “to transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders.”

Kapolei’s FRC robotics also partners with Ewa Beach’s Holomua Elementary school to mentor robotics students and hosts demonstrations at other area schools and at special events.
