Kailua Shop Has Answer For Lingerie

By PAIGE TAKEYA

For women who have survived breast cancer or had mastectomies, the simple act of lingerie shopping can be a difficult one.

Luckily, Coco’s Lingerie Boutique has set up shop in Kailua at 35 Kainehe St. #102 to offer fashionable intimates in a safe venue for cancer survivors. The mother-daughter team of Audrey and Amy Berthiaume opened the store in November with the goal to reach beyond lacy unmentionables.

“A breast cancer survivor herself,” states their website, “Audrey also felt that this was an opportunity to provide women living with breast disease, post-mastectomy patients, and breast cancer survivors a space to enjoy exceptional client care while being fit for lingerie and post-mastectomy products and accessories.”

The boutique has on staff a certified post-mastectomy and post-surgical bra fitter to complement a team of professionals. Some of their featured brands are Anita, Carole Hochman, Cosabella, Marie Jo and Prima Donna.

Coco’s is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For more information, call 262-6752, email cocoslingerie@clbhawaii.com or visit cocoslingeriehawaii.com.
