Kailua Resort Trains And Pampers Pooches
A 2-acre waterpark and resort for dogs opened recently in the Norfolk neighborhood of Kailua, touting the motto: “Where dogs get to run, play and hang out in the grass all day!” It’s DogPlay is run by Mirko and Mia Manfredi, who also breed Portuguese water dogs, and they are aiming high.
“We are so fortunate to live in our dream home,” stated Mia Manfredi on their website, “and a big part of that dream was to create a high-end dog resort and unparalleled training center unlike anything in the Hawaiian Islands.”
It’s DogPlay also offers training, grooming, day care and open-cage boarding at 42-103 Aleka Place. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays. For more information, call 888-2766 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
