Kailua HEARTS School Enrolling All Ages For Spring Classes

It’s not too late to sign up for Hawaii Education of the Arts (HEARTS)’s spring semester classes, which began Jan. 5. The last day to register for music, theatre, choir and hula classes is Jan. 23.

All classes run for 14 weeks until April 19 and meet at Kailua Church of the Nazarene, 536 Oneawa St. Financial aid is available for those with need. Choral classes end their semester with a spring concert and Broadway musical revue at Paliku Theatre in May. Offerings are listed below.

• Beginning Singers, $150 plus $5 fee, for grades K-4, meets 4:15-4:55 p.m. Tuesdays

• Boy Choir, $165 plus $5 fee, for ages 7-13, meets 5-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays

• Primary Girls Choir, $165 plus $5 fee, for grades 2-5, meets 5-6:30 p.m. Thursdays

• Intermediate Girls Choir, $280, for grades 2-5, meets 5-6:30 p.m. Thursdays

• Advanced Girls Choir, $280, for grades 6-8, meets 6-7:30 p.m. Thursdays

• Concert Choir, $165 plus $5, for high school and college students, meets 6:30-9 p.m. Fridays

• Adult Women’s Hula, $250, for adult women, meets 5:10-6:10 p.m. Tuesdays.
