CERT Training

The City & County of Honolulu’s Department of Emergency Management offers Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training for volunteers on how to assist their families, neighbors and communities immediately after a disaster until first responders arrive. Pacific Bonsai Club Annual Fair

West Oahu Pet Walk
Ewa Mahiko District Park, 8 a.m. check-in, 9 a.m. walk begins, $50/family (includes one free T-shirt and pet goody bag). The inaugural West Oahu Pet Walk gives pet owners around the island the opportunity to get to know their neighbors as well as the pets in the surrounding community. Summer Reading Program
Waialua Public Library, June 1-July 12, library hours, free. Participants of all ages who read at least one book a weekend record it receive one prize for that week. The theme for the children’s program is “Fizz Boom Read!” The theme for the young adult’s program is “Spark a Reaction,” and the adult’s theme is “Literacy Elements.” (637-8286)
