Blending Aloha

By Donna Yano
Vice President of Blue Pacific Management LLC

Upon entering the Hawaii market June 14, 1999, Jamba Hawaii introduced a fun, healthy, tasty and energetic concept that changed the idea of “fast food” in Hawaii. This Saturday (June 14) marks 15 years of blending aloha in the Islands. To celebrate, we are thanking our customers with a Blending Aloha Concert featuring Anuhea, Siaosi and Paula Fuga.

Through its convenient locations (32 stores on four islands), Jamba Hawaii provides a delicious alternative for customers seeking to live a healthier lifestyle. We also have created more than 600 jobs for the residents of Hawaii, including local celebrities Anuhea, Jordan Segundo and Kahele from the Opihi Pickers.

Jamba Hawaii’s core values are quite simple and shared with employees during their initial training: Inspire and simplify healthy living. We believe that we are able to exemplify these values in our products — in made-to-order, real fruit smoothies and food options made with nutritious ingredients packed with vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.

Jamba Hawaii also has incorporated community outreach and involvement into our core values. We live true to these values by participating in more than 25 community events annually, focusing on health, fitness and nutrition, with an emphasis on kids. The annual Jamba Banana Man Chase, known as “Hawaii’s wackiest race,” has raised more than $275,000 for local charities, including a $15,000 donation to Hawaii Speed & Quickness in 2014.

In addition, fundraising is a big part of Jamba Hawaii. Since 2009, Jamba Hawaii has made fundraising efforts even “smoothier” through its Smoothie Fundraising program. Jamba Hawaii has donated more than $1 million to schools, youth groups and sports teams in Hawaii.

In order to cater to the local tastes of Jamba fans in Hawaii, Jamba Hawaii offers flavors such as guava smoothies and KonaRed smoothies and a variety of acai bowls, which are exclusive to the Hawaii market. To celebrate our 15-year anniversary, we are introducing two new Papaya Smoothies that are set to launch June 19.

Jamba Hawaii makes it easy to live a healthy lifestyle through great-tasting products and an uplifting experience at every Jamba store.

Jamba, blend in the good.
