HPU Classes Stage Plays In Kaneohe

Hawaii Pacific University students will stage several plays and staged readings this weekend, free to the public, at Paul and Vi Loo Theatre on the Hawaii Loa campus. Showtime is 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The HPU performance class presents Deer Play by Mary Louise Wilson, Pillow Talk by John Pielmeier, and Funeral Parlor and The Actor’s Nightmare by Christopher Durang.

The directing class presents The Road To Ruin by Richard Dresser, directed by Gabe Hatton, plus staged readings of the first-place winners in the college’s 2012 short script contest. These include Horses of Theatre by Sara Cate Langham (Original category), and Volleying with Death by Davis Kop, adapted from Woody Allen’s Death Knocks (Adaption).
