Building A Brighter Future

The American Institute of Architects Hawai‘i State Council Medal of Honor was given to Daniel Chun for his voluntary work advocating on behalf of the architecture profession at the state Legislature for more than 30 years, as well as for his portfolio of professional designs. Chosen by the Hawai‘i Architectural Foundation, the award goes to an architect who has advanced the profession and who has been an inspiration to fellow practitioners. Residents Give To An Awesome Nonprofit

Members of the local chapter of The Awesome Foundation, which is a national organization that donates to projects it considers “awesome,” contributed $1,000 of their personal funds to nonprofit Kūpuna Aikido to help with its fall-prevention and safe falling classes.
