The Queen’s ‘Ohana Assists Families
Employees across The Queen’s Health Systems recently held a food drive to support local families and help fight hunger in Hawai‘i during the holiday season. In two weeks, Queen’s staff contributed 2,411 pounds of food and raised $15,000 in monetary donations, the equivalent of 34,259 meals for families facing hunger. Cooling Cancer Donates To Center
Cooling Cancer, a local nonprofit created by Admor HVAC Products/Fujitsu, recently donated $100,000 to University of Hawai‘i Cancer Center. The money was raised during the 11th annual Cooling Cancer Golf Tournament and brings the total donations from Cooling Cancer to the center to more than $750,000. Assets School Helps Feed The Hungry
Assets School students from kindergarten to 12th grade and their families, along with Assets teachers and staff, collected canned goods and nonperishable food during November to support those in need. On Dec. 2, known as National Giving Tuesday, Assets School donated 655 pounds of canned goods to Hawai‘i Foodbank, enough to create 546 meals for families facing hunger.
