Blessing Held For STEM Center

Girl Scouts of Hawai‘i recently held a traditional Hawaiian blessing for its state-of-the-art STEM Center for Excellence at Camp Paumalū on the North Shore. Pictured (from left) are kahu Kordell Kekoa; Lori Teranishi, GSH board member; Kanoe Nāone, GSH CEO; and Beth Whitehead, GSH board chair. The center provides a space for GSH to carry out its science, technology, engineering and math initiatives and will empower girls through accessible, hands-on learning opportunities in robotics, coding, astronomy and environmental science.

Supporting Public Health

Chamber of Commerce of Hawai‘i donated $50,000 to Waimānalo Health Center. As a trustee of the Public Health Fund, the chamber supports nonprofits that advance public health.
