Wai‘anae Principal Wins Leadership Award

Island Insurance Foundation awarded Ray Pikelny, principal of Wai‘anae Elementary, with its 16th annual Masayuki Tokioka Excellence in School Leadership Award. LCC Students Earn Ford Motor Scholarships

Leeward Community College Automotive Technology students (from left) Toby Samsal, Candra Urban and Devin Caringer have been awarded the Ford Automotive Student Service Education Training scholarship from Ford Motor Co. The students will each receive a $2,000 scholarship to assist with the completion of their academic studies. Caringer also was selected for the Grainger’s Tools for Tomorrow scholarship program, receiving a $2,000 scholarship, and upon graduation, will receive a full toolkit to jump-start his career. YWCA Receives $125K From ‘Honolulu Star-Advertiser’

YWCA O‘ahu was selected as the beneficiary of the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Subscriber Donation Program, receiving $125,000 to support its operation in 2020. Helping Hands Hawai‘i Receives $25,000

Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation recently awarded $25,000 to Helping Hands Hawai‘i’s Community Clearinghouse programs. These funds will ensure that household necessities and financial aid is available to families in need.
