Teacher Honored For Excellence

Linapuni Elementary School teacher Michele Uwaine (center) received the Reading Is Fundamental Mission Champion Award during a recent surprise ceremony. The first-grade teacher has been an educator for more than 20 years. Macy’s and the National Alliance on Mental Illness hosted a storytime and craft activity for the students, and they received free books.
