Honolulu City Lights Ornaments On Sale

CHAN LUU TRUNK SHOW AT SAND PEOPLE

Celebrity jewelry designer Chan Luu will be in-store to meet with fans and share her latest jewelry collections, as well as special holiday pieces, at Sand People in Ala Moana Center (Mall Level – Macy’s Wing) Dec. 14 from noon to 6 p.m.

HONOLULU CITY LIGHTS ORNAMENTS ON SALE

The 2013 Honolulu City Lights ornaments are now on sale as a fundraiser for the popular Christmas celebration at Honolulu Hale.

One ornament shows Shaka Santa loading his Woody with surfboards and other gear as he prepares to surf his favorite spot, Waimea Bay. The other depicts Shaka Santa, with his beard and red suit flying, surfing the epic waves at Waimea Bay. Both ornaments sell for $18 and are available at all Oahu branches of First Hawaiian Bank or any Oahu Macy’s store. Or order online at honolulucitylights.org. Purchasing the ornaments will help keep the popular event free to the public.

The ornaments have been created by the Friends of Honolulu City Lights since 2000. Honolulu City Lights, now in its 29th year, will be on display through Jan. 1. The Christmas tree lights up nightly at around 6 p.m. and lights remain on until dawn. The exhibits at Honolulu Hale are open from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m.

SANTA’S BEACH HOUSE AT WARD CENTERS

Ward Centers has opened Santa’s Beach House (on Level 3 near the Ward 16 Theater), a stand-alone Santa visitation area featuring a Hawaii-inspired design and interactive keiki activities. Families also are invited to bring their wish lists and don their most festive holiday attire for a visit and photo opportunity with Santa Claus. Photo packages start at $19.99. Santa’s Beach House will be open through Dec. 24. Ward Centers also is offering a Shopping ReWards promotion. Also, from now through Dec. 15, for every $100 a customer spends, they will receive a $10 Shopping ReWards certificate valid at 16 Ward Centers stores and restaurants. Receipts can be redeemed for Shopping ReWards only on weekends (Dec. 13-15) at Crazy Shirts Outlet at Ward Centre or Downtown Gifthings at Ward Warehouse. Shopping ReWards can be redeemed at participating Ward Centers stores and restaurants through Dec. 24.
