HOME Project Fundraiser
Homeless Outreach and Medical Education (HOME) Project conducted its annual Food and Wine Tasting Fundraiser recently at John A. Burns School of Medicine in Kakaako. HOME is a student run mobile medical clinic whose mission is to improve quality and access to health care for Hawaii’s homeless, while increasing student and physician awareness and understanding of the homeless and their healthcare needs. With the theme “Ho`ola me ke kahiau” (healing with compassion through selfless giving) guests enjoyed sampling food from various restaurants and bakeries, entertainment by Koa Road and medical students, and a silent auction.
