Holy Nativity’s Thrifty Saturday

Holy Nativity Thrift Shop will offer up its best inventory — plus plenty of food, baked goods, holiday decor and live entertainment — at its annual Fall Festival & Christmas Sale, set for 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday at the church.

Proceeds from sales will go to this year’s selected charities (Hale Kipa, Meals on Wheels and Family Promise Hawaii), as well as to help restore the aging church gymnasium, which hosts many community sports events and classes. Last year’s festival drew a crowd of more than 1,000 shoppers and earned $15,000.

Entertaining will be Roslyn Catracchia, Cory Oliveros, Ryan Souza, Megann Sala, Friends of Ohia Productions, Rachel Akaka and more. There will be a Keiki Fun Zone, a silent auction of the thrift shop’s “rare collectibles and antiques” and seven food truck vendors with a menu ranging from soup and plate lunches to shave ice and mini doughnuts.

If you can get enough of the annual new items and bargains, the thrift shop also is open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
