GOLF TOURNEY IN MEMORY OF KURT SONODA
The Kurt Y. Sonoda Foundation held its third annual golf tournament recently at Pearl Country Club. Sonoda, an avid golfer who coached teams at Waianae and Pearl City high schools, died suddenly in 2009 of necrotizing faciitis (flesh-eating bacteria). Funds raised provide scholarships for students seeking higher education.
