Succulent Salmon Sings With Flavor

This Maui girl is making some noise in the music industry, and I am so proud of her. When Anuhea first started her career, I was always a big supporter of her music and pushed it whenever I could.

After she graced our kitchen with her guitar, voice and presence, she flexed her cooking skills.

This furikake salmon is ono and simple!

FURIKAKE SALMON

• 1 large piece salmon, 1-2 pounds

• 1/2 cup furikake

• 2 cups mayonnaise

• 2 tablespoons prepared wasabi

salt and pepper, to taste

Lightly grease a baking pan with cooking oil or cooking spray. Lay salmon skin-side down. Sprinkle fish with 1/4 cup of furikake and season with salt and pepper.

In a bowl, combine wasabi and mayonnaise and mix well. You can add more or less wasabi, according to your personal taste.

Spread mayonnaise wasabi mixture over the salmon —enough to cover the entire fish. Cook fish in 350 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.

For Sauce:

• 1 cup Aloha Shoyu

• 1/4 cup brown or white sugar

• 2 tablespoons minced ginger

In a small pot, add shoyu, sugar and ginger, and cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat.

Place salmon on serving dish and drench with sauce, or serve sauce on the side.

Garnish with fresh cilantro sprigs.
