Hawaii Job Corps students in Waimanalo conducted a white elephant sale prior to winter break and raised $755.35 for victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The sale helped students shop for Christmas presents for their own families, and at the same time it helped American Red Cross in its typhoon relief efforts. At the Jan. 23 check presentation were (from left) students Tamdrik Elcar and Maria Johnston, Red Cross rep Lilian Klein, Job Corps staffer Jody Paglinawan and student Troy Robinson.
