The Mayor's Holly Award winner (Best in Show) in the city's annual Holiday Wreath contest is the Hawaii State Hospital's Occupational Therapy Department Art Class with 'Sweet Memories of the '70s Kanikapila Style!' The patients won $200 for their efforts, using reproduced vintage posters, T-shirts and backstage passes from the 1970s music and entertainment scene. They also used found and recycled materials like driftwood, pine cones, kukui nuts, coconut husks, seed pods, shells and lei. The wreaths are on view at Honolulu Hale until Jan. 1.
