Kaiser High graduate (2011) Blaine Kaakimaka Jr., 20, is eager to fuel his passion for photography, and he proved it by mounting the first exhibit in Fresh Cafe's Urban Galaxy series that features a new talent each month. Opening Dec. 19, his show will remain up until Jan. 19 at the Kakaako hot spot. Kaakimaka's next step? Make connections and move to Los Angeles, taking with him the philosophy that 'a true photograph is not a picture of the world we live in, it's a vision into the universe the photographer is crafting.'
