JIMMY WU, AIA, president and owner of Prowork Pacific Inc.

Prowork Pacific Inc. is an architectural firm that I founded in 2013, specializing in mid- to high-end residential, small commercial and retail projects. It provides services in architectural design and planning, interior design and sustainable design.

The company stresses deeply the importance of communication with our clients to achieve their vision and dreams for their project — we provide strategic lifestyle planning and design for you.

I am a Hawai‘i-licensed architect, a member of AIA, LEED AP, and a certified residential and commercial third-party reviewer. I am a new generation well-known Chinese architect, who immigrated from Hong Kong and earned my bachelor’s degree in architecture from University of Hawai‘i.

I have over 20 years of professional experience in the building industry with numerous residential and commercial projects in varying degrees of complexity.

In 2015, I was honored with People’s Choice Awards in the Luxury Home Design category by AIA Honolulu Design Awards, and Award of Merit by BIA Hawai‘i Renaissance in 2016.

For decades, my mission has been to create exceptional value for my clients and communities. Through my past experiences, I have learned that many homeowners have unintentionally hired unqualified draftsmen and contractors to assist with their design and permitting. Oftentimes, this has cost the homeowners more time and money on obtaining the permit for their project. Some cannot even get their permit at all.

I want to provide an exceptional and legitimate service for customers with full transparency in planning and permitting. From 2020, Prowork Pacific Inc. started a YouTube channel to provide weekly updates on the building permit process, permit requirements and guidelines to building a new home to educate the community. Videos can be found in both English and Chinese on youtube.com.

As a certified third-party reviewer firm, Prowork Pacific Inc. provides project reviews and permit expediting services for homeowners, contractors and architects/ engineers.
