E-cycling For McDonald House

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Hawaii and Mobi PCS have teamed up in July to accept old electronic devices in the name of charity.

During Recycle for Keiki Month, the local drop-off point is the Mobi PCS store at Windward City Shopping Center (or any Mobi store on the island).

Proceeds from donated items will support temporary housing for families whose children need medical treatment.

Cell phones, PDA, iPods, digital cameras, tablets and chargers in any condition and from any carrier are acceptable. Recyclers also can enter to win a Samsung Galaxy S2 phone or a Hele MiFi, each with one year of service.

The partnership was established in 2008, when Mobi PCS began providing phones and service to families staying at a Ronald McDonald house. The company has raised a total of $42,000 for the charity.
