Derby Raises Funds For Traveling Team

Pacific Roller Derby celebrates Easter with its Punk Bunnies versus the Bad Eggs in the “Rude Chicks Derby Smash” 4 p.m. Saturday at the Hideaway Club located in the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station at Barbers Point in Kalaeloa.

The event is a fundraiser to help support Pacific Roller Derby’s all-star team, the Hulagans, to compete in the Dust Devil Tournament in Arizona later this month.

Doors open at 3 p.m. Admission is $7, and $5 for students with a valid military I.D. and for those who bring a clothing donation for Big Brothers, Big Sisters. Keiki age 12 and under get in free; no minors are allowed after 7 p.m.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase at the Hideaway Club.

Non-military attendees must register online by midnight Friday, or must be sponsored by an active duty military member. The Hideaway Club is located on the U.S. Coast Guard Air Station at 1 Coral Sea Road.
