Dastardly Deeds Await Play Fans

Windward fans may want to catch their breath before sitting down to see Murder on Tombstone Island, or Who’ll Stop the Strangler?, the fall production from Lanikai Mortgage Players.

Written by the late Nelson Shreve, directed by Jack Morse and produced by Brenda Hillebrenner, the melodrama focuses on a motley crew of millionaires, birdwatchers and butlers who find themselves at the center of a murder mystery.

The cast features Bill McRoberts, Sasha Grimmbacher, Keith Merriam, Roger Tansley, Lew Lappert, Carol Nichols, Barbara Coriell, Courtney Nichols and Diane Craven.

Each performance will be followed by the traditional olio produced by Theodore Rogers.

The curtain goes up on murder at 8 p.m. Friday in Shreve Theatre at Lanikai community center, and will repeat Saturday, Sunday and Nov. 8-10. Tickets cost $7 and can be purchased by calling June Tansley at 262-5482. Complimentary popcorn will be provided.
